IP of the Rover

As part of our commitment to ensuring continuity, growth, and technological development, the selected team whose design made it through the PDR and CDR process and is shortlisted to compete for ERC 2025 will be subject to the Intellectual Property (IP) Agreement established by Antarexxa.

This agreement is designed to:

  • Protect and sustain the rover’s technological development over multiple years, ensuring that future teams can learn and continue its development upon past progress.
  • Recognize and credit team members for their contributions while maintaining collaborative ownership under Antarexxa’s stewardship.
  • Allow academic institutions to use the technology for research and learning while restricting unauthorized commercialization.
  • Ensure fair participation in future commercialization efforts, should the rover technology reach industry readiness.

By participating, the team agrees to document and transfer all technical developments within 30 days after the competition conclude, ensuring the next generation of students can continue to refine and improve the rover without starting from scratch.
